What I Do

Show parents how to teach their child basic life skills in the home.

I’m a GP with a specialist interest in children who have autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. I combine my medical and personal experience to help children and young adults learn skills that can help them find employment in the long term. By addressing their medical, psychological and educational issues in a holistic manner, I help them address and overcome their difficulties to enable them to progress further in life. 

I offer detailed individual assessments where I can take a history and develop a plan to help your child. I can also provide a judgement as to whether I feel your child has a neurodisability if they don’t have a diagnosis already. I use baking as a vehicle to show parents how to teach their child to improve their basic life skills in the home environment, such as literacy and mathematics. I ensure children with learning difficulties fulfil their potential by improving their long term employment opportunities. Just like you, I want them to grow up to lead independent and fulfilling lives, all through baking a cake!

Does my child have a neurodisability?

The term disability can cover a wide spectrum of problems, but from a medical perspective this includes Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), behavioural & conduct disorders, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down's Syndrome,

speech delay, motor delay etc.

Any child with a developmental concern, whether that be physical, psychological or educational, will qualify for a free initial brief consultation as to whether I can be of service. If I can’t help, then I will be able to direct you towards one of my other suitable colleagues that will.
